Fashion and Design of the Carousel
In the first part of the Fashion and Design Carousel we were using Disperse Dyes.
To begin with we practiced using the disperse dyes on a A5 piece of paper to make colour swatches, and then we put the paper on the heat press onto the fabric to compare how the colour changes.
After doing that we could see how the 6 different colours would change after being in the heat press.
We then sketched ideas for our T-shit design. We had to think about using stencils, Texture and layering. When we had our idea we were then handed an A3 piece of paper to paint our design using the disperse dyes. After finishing our design and when it was dry we put it in the heat press so it could then go on the fabric.
